Don't let the summer heat fool you. Holiday planning starts much sooner than most people realize.

While everyone else is planning vacations, weekends at the lake, and Fourth of July celebrations, we're already helping clients reserve dates for their holiday parties.

It may seem early to think about Christmas when the temperature is pushing 100 degrees, but if you want the best venue, your favorite caterer, and the date you actually want, July is one of the smartest times to start planning.

Whether you're organizing a company Christmas party, a nonprofit holiday gala, a client appreciation event, or a family celebration, booking your holiday catering early gives you more options, less stress, and a much smoother planning experience.

Why the Best Holiday Dates Fill Up First

Every holiday season follows the same pattern.

Everyone wants to celebrate on the same handful of dates.

Thursday evenings are filled with corporate parties.

Friday nights become employee appreciation celebrations.

Saturdays are reserved for family gatherings, weddings, and holiday galas.

There are only so many Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Once those dates are gone, they're gone.

The clients who book in July often have the widest selection of dates, venues, and vendors available. Waiting until October or November usually means making compromises on the date, timeline, or even the catering team you'd hoped to work with.

If you already know when your event will be, now is the perfect time to reserve your place on our calendar.

Booking Early Can Actually Save You Time (and Stress)

Many people assume planning early creates more work.

In reality, it does the opposite.

Once your caterer is secured, you can spend the next few months focusing on everything else without worrying whether your preferred date is still available.

Booking early gives you:

  • More flexibility with scheduling
  • Plenty of time for internal approvals
  • Better availability with venues and other vendors
  • Less pressure during the busy holiday season

Instead of scrambling during one of the busiest times of the year, you can enjoy the holidays knowing your catering is already taken care of.

You Don't Have to Know Every Detail Yet

One of the biggest reasons people delay booking holiday catering is because they think every decision has to be made immediately.

The truth is, it doesn't.

You don't need to have your menu finalized.

You don't need your exact guest count.

You don't even need to know every rental item or the final event timeline.

Once you know your event date and location, we can reserve your spot and work through the remaining details together over the coming months.

Our goal is to make planning simple, not overwhelming.

Frequently Asked Questions About Holiday Catering

When should I book holiday catering?

As soon as you've selected your event date and location. The earlier you reserve, the more options you'll have.

Is July too early to book Christmas catering?

Not at all. In fact, many companies and organizations begin planning their holiday celebrations during the summer. Booking in July gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date.

Can I reserve holiday catering before choosing my menu?

Absolutely. We know many clients aren't ready to make menu decisions months in advance. We can reserve your date first and finalize your menu later.

What if my guest count changes?

That's completely normal. We typically don't require your final guest count until 7 to 14 days before your event, depending on your service style and event type. As long as we have a starting estimate, we can adjust those numbers as your plans come together.

Don't Wait Until the Holidays to Plan the Holidays

The best holiday celebrations don't happen because someone planned them at the last minute.

They happen because someone planned ahead.

If you already know when your holiday party will take place, let's reserve your date now and spend the next few months creating a celebration your guests will remember.
