Sometimes the most beautiful love stories begin with the most unexpected moments. For Molly and Sterling, their journey started with a near-cancelled hiking date (thanks to some uninvited bat houseguests!) and led to a magical proposal under a lunar eclipse in Key Largo. When it came time to celebrate their love, they created a wedding day that was everything they dreamed of – soft, romantic, and absolutely enchanting.

From Bats to “I Do”

We have to share this adorable meet-cute story! Molly and Sterling connected through a dating app and planned their first date hiking Pinnacle Mountain. The night before their adventure, Molly discovered several baby bats had made their way into her family’s living room through the fireplace. After hours of “bat wrangling” (as she perfectly put it), she was exhausted and asked to reschedule. Thank goodness Sterling was understanding – their rescheduled hike became the beginning of something beautiful!

A Proposal Under the Stars

Fast forward to their romantic getaway in Key Largo, where Sterling had planned the perfect proposal under a total lunar eclipse. When storm clouds initially obscured their view, they thought the moment was lost. But at midnight, Sterling woke Molly as the skies cleared to reveal the stunning eclipse. There on the moonlit beach, with waves gently lapping the shore, he asked her to marry him under the most magical celestial backdrop imaginable.

Bringing Their Garden Vision to Life

For their wedding at the stunning Grandeur House, Molly envisioned something “light and airy like we were in a garden.” The talented team at Silks A Bloom brought this dream to life with gorgeous arrangements in various shades of pink accented with pops of dusty blue. Every centerpiece and floral detail captured that soft, romantic garden feeling Molly had imagined.

A Menu Worth Remembering

As their caterers, we were thrilled to create a dining experience that perfectly complemented their celebration. We started the evening with passed appetizers during the bridal party photos – ham and cheese sliders and spinach artichoke crostini that kept everyone happily fed while the photographer captured those precious moments.

For dinner, we served up a feast that had guests raving: our signature chimichurri chicken and bulgogi brisket (which became the star of the show!), accompanied by twice-baked potatoes, roasted broccoli, fresh salad, and warm rolls. The bulgogi brisket was such a hit that Molly and Sterling ended up enjoying three more servings of it after the wedding – now that’s what we call a successful menu!

We love when couples are adventurous with their food choices, and Molly and Sterling’s combination of flavors created a dining experience that was both sophisticated and satisfying. There’s nothing better than hearing guests rave about the food and seeing the happy couple still enjoying the leftovers days later.

Sweet Endings

The gorgeous cake by Blue Cake Company was a work of art, adorned with colorful buttercream flowers that perfectly matched the garden theme. With flavors including chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and strawberry filling, strawberry cake with lemon curd, and vanilla cake with cookies and cream, there was something to delight every palate.

A Team Effort

Weddings like this don’t happen by magic – they’re the result of incredible vendors working together. Wedding planner Kaitie Gill orchestrated every detail flawlessly, while Kayleigh Ross Photography captured every beautiful moment. The result was a celebration that truly reflected Molly and Sterling’s vibrant personalities and their vision for their perfect day.

From their adventurous first date to their celestial proposal to their garden-inspired wedding, Molly and Sterling’s love story is one for the books. While they didn’t jet off on a traditional honeymoon (they were busy moving to Dallas for new jobs!), they started their married life with hearts full of love and memories from a truly perfect wedding day.

We’re honored to have been part of Molly and Sterling’s special day. There’s nothing we love more than creating delicious memories for couples embarking on their greatest adventure together.
