When bright florals and vibrant flavors come together, magic happens. That’s exactly what unfolded at this stunning celebration at The Venue at Oakdale in North Little Rock, where our culinary team had the pleasure of crafting a Mexican-fusion feast that complemented the bride’s vision of a garden-inspired wedding perfectly.

The couple’s love story began in high school, blossoming into a beautiful relationship that led to a romantic proposal in Dallas. For their wedding day, they envisioned a celebration where florals took center stage, with bright whites and citrus hues creating an enchanting atmosphere throughout the venue.

We were thrilled to design a menu that brought warmth and excitement to the celebration. The cocktail hour kicked off with crowd-pleasing hors d’oeuvres that set the tone for the evening: cheese-stuffed mushrooms offering rich, savory bites, saucy Asian meatballs adding a global twist, honey chipotle BBQ chicken picks bringing sweet heat, and spinach artichoke crostini providing a classic favorite with an elevated touch.

 

The main event was a creative taco station that gave guests the freedom to customize their dining experience. We featured three distinctive proteins: tender pork carnitas, perfectly seasoned pollo asado, and our signature shredded brisket. These were accompanied by Mexican street corn, bringing that authentic elote flavor, and cilantro lime rice that added a fresh, zesty complement. Of course, no Mexican-inspired feast would be complete without our house-made salsa and queso dip served with crispy tortilla chips.

The culinary experience was thoughtfully designed to match the wedding’s aesthetic, where stunning floral installations created a garden-like atmosphere. A curved aisle lined with vibrant blooms led to a magnificent floral arch, creating an unforgettable setting for both the ceremony and the subsequent celebration.

The evening flowed seamlessly from dinner to dancing, with the father-daughter dance being a particularly memorable moment. The couple’s honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas was a perfect continuation of their celebration, complete with Mexican flavors that reminded them of their special day.
