There’s something special about catering a wedding for high school sweethearts. When Andrea and Harry tied the knot at The Grandeur House in Little Rock, their love story came full circle in a celebration that perfectly balanced elegance with the relaxed, authentic warmth that defines this couple.

At Vibrant Occasions Catering, we believe the menu should reflect not just the aesthetics of a wedding, but the personalities and preferences of the couple themselves. For Andrea and Harry, that meant setting aside traditional wedding fare in favor of something more meaningful: their actual favorite foods, served in a way that felt both elevated and approachable.

A collage of three wedding photos: balloon and floral decorations, a bride and groom standing together in front of flower arches, and a round table set for guests in a bright, elegant venue.

A Menu as Unique as Their Love Story

The evening began during cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres that set the tone for an unforgettable culinary experience. Guests enjoyed spinach-artichoke crostinis with their creamy, herbaceous filling on perfectly toasted bread, honey-chipotle barbecue chicken that balanced sweet heat with smoky depth, and saucy Asian meatballs tossed in soy sauce, fresh ginger, sesame oil, and Hoisin sauce—a crowd favorite that disappeared almost as quickly as we could pass them.

But the real showstopper? Dinner featured one of Andrea and Harry’s absolute favorite meals: a street taco bar. This fun, interactive station allowed guests to build their own perfect taco with slow-simmered shredded beef accented with colorful peppers and onions, cilantro lime rice, vibrant Mexican street corn, creamy cheese dip, and fresh salsa.

We complemented the taco bar with additional entrees that spoke to the couple’s comfort food preferences: grilled chicken alfredo pasta with rich, velvety sauce, bowtie pasta with marinara for a classic Italian touch, and green bean provençal with blistered tomatoes adding a fresh, elegant element to the spread.

The result? A menu that felt personal, delicious, and perfectly suited to the laid-back joy of the day. As their photographer noted, “Andrea and Harry were pretty much a dream couple to work with. They were so kind, laid back & had the most beautiful vision for their day.”

A wedding scene split into three panels: a couple kissing at the altar, a white cake on a round table with floral decor, and buffet trays filled with food at a reception.

Designing for Connection and Comfort
The Grandeur House provided the perfect backdrop for Andrea and Harry’s vision of simplistic yet eye-catching design. Pale pinks, touches of gold, and lush magnolia leaves filled both the ceremony and reception spaces, creating an atmosphere that was both timeless and calming (much like the couple themselves).

With guests attending from as far as the Philippines and Thailand via livestream, this was a global gathering of love and support. The intimate yet inclusive nature of the day made our role as caterers especially meaningful.

Andrea’s personal touches were evident throughout, from the handmade calligraphy signs she created to the thoughtful balloon installation and the stunning three-tiered cake. Every detail worked together to create an experience that felt authentically “them.”

The Joy of Catering Meaningful Celebrations

What made this wedding particularly special from a catering perspective was how the menu became part of the couple’s story. By choosing a street taco bar and comfort food favorites over traditional plated dinners or standard reception fare, Andrea and Harry invited their guests into their world. The interactive nature of the taco station encouraged mingling and created a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere that perfectly matched the day’s vibe.

At Vibrant Occasions Catering, these are the moments we live for—when food becomes more than sustenance and transforms into an experience that reflects who our couples truly are. Whether it’s an elaborate plated dinner or a beloved taco bar, we’re honored to bring culinary expertise to the most important celebrations in our clients’ lives.

From the first bite of spinach-artichoke crostini to the last scoop of street corn, every element of Andrea and Harry’s wedding menu was crafted with care, quality ingredients, and an understanding that the best wedding food is food that makes people happy.

Congratulations to Andrea and Harry! May your marriage be as satisfying and joy-filled as that taco bar!
